Delhi’s Pragati Maidan is gearing up to host the 28th Delhi Book Fair alongside the 24th Stationery Fair. This year’s event will spotlight books published in India, celebrating the country's rich literary heritage.
Organized in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Publishers, the book fair will take place at the same venue, parallel with the Stationery Fair, at Bharat Mandapam. It will focus on promoting Indian literature and educational resources. Hema Maity, General Manager of the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), emphasized the event's dual aim: to showcase a diverse range of books and offer educational books and stationery, with activities like painting competitions planned for school children.
The 28th Delhi Book Fair will emphasize the global impact of Indian books, particularly those on yoga and the Bhagavad Gita, reflecting their growing international readership. Sanjay Vashishtha, Manager at ITPO, highlighted that the fair aims to underline the significant role of Indian literature in a global context, noting a rise in interest in Indian books worldwide, including Latin America.
